06.13 Revit Project the Experiment - Video Part 10- (Beam Systems)

In this post we place the floor joist in the apartment units and also the ceiling joists for the upper level. We use a beam system to evenly space the joists over the footprint. To help reduce the beam depth which effect the over all floor to floor inter height i place 2 steel beams to cut the span of the joist to around 14'.

Another point to note from one of my followers is for the roof purlins(2 posts ago) where i individually spaced the beams and then individually raised the height of each beam to match the curve of the roof, it can actually be done by using the beam systems tool, you must select the new 3D option setting in the instance properties and the use the pick support instead of drawing the foot print, this should evenly space the beams and also raise them to the correct height also.
